Our thoughts
Upon arrival we were greeted by the loveliest blonde waitress (we didn't get her name, oops) and decided to go for the classic pub dishes as our main, but to try something different for the starters.
All of the food was fantastic, particularly the Thai chilli beef with papaya salad. It was so incredibly fresh, flavourful (spicy), and not something that you would ever imagine to appear on a pub menu. The scallops were also great and presented nicely in their shells. The menu has since changed, but their current menu (found here) looks great too - although please bring the papaya salad back!
The main courses - the fish and chips and the burger - were very fresh and the chips were super crispy, just the way we like them. They were also portioned very generously. So generously that we had absolutely no room for dessert.
The interiors of the pub were very cosy, and all the staff extremely kind and attentive. It's also dog-friendly so you can bring along your four-legged friends 🐶.
The new menu is honestly fantastic and we had a hard time choosing what to order - everything looked delicious. It's a definite must-go for Bathonians or anyone visiting Bath.
They've also got special foodie events coming up - vegan night, celebration of the sea and steak & malbec night. You can find all the information here - enjoy!
