Drinks & Nibbles at Le Vignoble, Bath

Nestled away in Milsom Place, Le Vignoble, a new wine bar with wine despensers (omg) opened earlier this year. Le Vignoble, 'the vinyard' in French, focuses on a balance between quality and price, therefore promoting small producers and unusual wines. As wine lovers, we were super happy to get invited to go down to Le Vignoble to see what it was all about.

You can choose from any one of their multiple wines from all over the world, using their self service Enomatic dispenser machines (fancy). In addition to multiple wines fit for all price ranges, the lounge has an array of delicious food (tapas and nibbles).

What we ordered

  • Oliver Zeter Grauburgunder (2017, Germany)
  • Port Eliot Festival (2016, England)
  • Holm Oak Moscato Duffy (2016, Tasmania)
  • Gladstone Vineyard Voignier (2016, New Zealand)
  • Tomate Grape (vine tomatoes, parmesan, pesto and pine nuts)
  • Mixed marinated olives
  • Bread & dip du jour (when we went it was a garlic & basil dip)

Our thoughts

We tried to choose some wines which were a little bit different which is what makes Le Vignoble so great - it gets you out of your comfort zone.

We loved some of the wines that we tried and what's great about this place is that you don't have to buy by the glass. You also have the opportunity to buy tasters for just a fraction of the price so that you can try allll the wines. How it works is you just need to top up a card, pop it into the machine and then choose whichever wine you'd like.

We love the concept and the food was great too - we would highly recommend the bread and dip du jour which had an incredible garlic and basil dip. The marinated olives were also great and you got loads of them too.

For those of you who love meat and cheese, Le Vignoble also has incredible platters of cured meats and cheeses flown straight in from France. Also, if you love wine but are not sure where to start, don't hesitate to ask Michael for any recommendations. He was absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable!

We would highly recommend Le Vignoble for anyone who loves wine or is interested in learning a bit more about it. Between cool interiors, delicious wine and food, what more could you want?
