Vietnamese Lunch at Noya's Kitchen, Bath

Noya's Kitchen opened in Bath back last year after Noya had held extremely successful pop-up supper clubs in Bear Flat for years. Due to her success, a beautiful new restaurant was opened on St James Parade (near Bath College) with a menu that changes every week always including both a meat and vegetarian (which is usually vegan too) option.

We were lucky enough to be invited to the preview evening of her new restaurant where Noya explained how she had fled from Vietnam in the 1970s, seeking refuge in the UK and how the flavours in all of her cooking reflected her Vietnamese roots. We also got to sample some of her food that evening, and were invited back a few weeks later to try a full menu.

What we ordered
  • Chicken, chilli and ginger stew served with jasmine rice and pickled cucumber
  • Ginger and chilli aubergine topped with roasted peanuts served with jasmine rice and pickled cucumber
  • Tofu and water chesnut spring rolls served with lettuce, mint, coriander and a chilli dipping sauce
  • Loose leaf green tea

Our thoughts

After having eaten at Noya's Kitchen I can firmly say that it's one of my favourite restaurants in Bath of all time. Quite a big statement, I know, but Noya's cooking is full of flavour and actually incredible.

Whenever people contact us to ask for recommendations in Bath, we always recommend her restaurant as there is something for everyone. The restaurant itself is very cosy and the waiting staff are incredibly attentive.

To top it all off, lunch is actually very good value for money - as you can see from the photo of the menu above. As the menu changes weekly, make sure to follow Noya on instagram - @noyaskitchen to see what dishes are on offer daily.

Head down to Noya's Kitchen for Lunch (Tuesday-Saturday, 12-3pm) or for one of their Supper Clubs which you must book in advance. It's a fun, informal dining experience with a set menu of 5 Vietnamese dishes. You can find the availability here. Excitingly, you can also take part in cooking classes - more info here, or book a private dining event - more info here.

Whatever you do, you won't be dissapointed!
