Sam's Kitchen Supper Club at Always Sunday House, Bath

Sam's Kitchen cook food that they love, taking inspiration from cuisines all over the world. They always cook seasonally and buy locally to ensure freshness and the highest quality of ingredients. You may remember that they used to have a Deli in Bath, but it sadly closed down a couple of years ago due to extortionate rent prices. They're now focused on events and tasting rooms.

Always Sunday House is a Georgian home in Bath which showcases creative collaborators all working together to create unique and beautiful events.

A couple of weeks ago, we were invited to one of Sam's Kitchen supper clubs which was hosted at the beautiful Always Sunday House. The theme was Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours to showcase Sam's Kitchen's new 3-course dinner menu - we were even lucky enough to be cooked for by Sam himself.

The interiors were absolutely beautiful.

The venue on Bathwick Hill was full of the most amazing fresh flowers and small personal touches everywhere you looked. Literally every single person at the supper club said how amazing the place was.

To start with we had a quite spicy (but very yummy) coriander flatbread with other crudités to dip into three different little bowls of goodness.

Moving onto the main courses, everything was served family style on sharing platters for a more cosy, friendly feel to the supper club.

We had the most beautifully cooked Lamb shoulder accompanied by three incredibly delicious salads. There was a purple sprouting and feta spanakopita, a pearled spelt, freekah and sweet potato salad and a french bean, mint pesto, tomato and pomegranate salad. They were all truly amazing.

The layout of the colours of these salads looked so good amongst the table decoration itself and were all served on old china plates placed on buckets so that we could help ourselves.

For our pudding we had the most incredible Santiago Tart which was light, spongy and the perfect end to an amazing meal. The baked stone fruit, mascarpone and Manuka honey added that special touch of something sweet.

Overall we had a great time at Sam's Kitchen's supper club at Always Sunday House. The overall ambience was incredible. The house had an incredibly high level of detail in every corner. The flowers were stunning and covered the whole venue, there were even some in the bathtub!

The way everything was presented was really truly stunning and I couldn't recommend one of their supper clubs any more. The people around the dinner table were so interesting and you never know who you might meet. We would definitely go again.

A massive thank you to Lexi from Always Sunday House and Sam from Sam's Kitchen for inviting us.

Another big thank you to the collaborators on this event Blomme Florist, Dot the i Calligraphy, Miles Kimber, Landlore and Jamie Graziano Morris.
