Last week we were kindly invited to Bath Brew House for a Thanksgiving Beer & Food matching night. The evening consisted of hearty, home-cooked food with home brewed ales to match.
Interestingly, although Thanksgiving is known to be an American holiday, it actually started in England! I know, I was surprised too. It dates back to the Protestant Reformation to give thanks for the harvest. Nowadays, it's celebrated mostly by North Americans, to celebrate all that they are thankful for and to gather round the table to eat some yummy food.
And that's exactly what we did. We were joined by around twelve other guests including some Americans who had dressed up with turkey hats to get into the Thanksgiving spirit.
