Al Fresco Lunch at Cafe Lucca, Bath

You may have walked past it on your way up to Alfred Street and The Circus before, but there's a light, airy Italian-inspired cafe within the concept store The Loft named Cafe Lucca.

Having just finished our final year university exams, we were kindly invited by the Cafe Lucca team to celebrate.

What we ordered

  • Warm Ciabatta with extra virgin olive oil and sweet balsamic
  • Marinated olives
  • Vegetable root crisps
  • Two salad bowls with fine green beans, roasted butternut squash, feta cheese, chickpeas, tomatoes, spinach topped with smoked salmon and parma ham
  • Prosecco to celebrate

Our thoughts

We started with a delicious sharing board influenced by french Mediterranean foods, paired with a couple of glasses of prosecco al fresco to enjoy the sun and make the most of Bath's summer months. The bread and olives were amazing.

As our main, we both picked the salad bowls which are made fresh and seasonally every day. You can definitely taste the freshness and all the different flavours coming together - they're delicious.

Alongside salads, Cafe Lucca also serves gourmet panini, bruschetta, homemade quiche and as many cakes as you could imagine. And, they're all baked freshly!

Everything was super yummy and fresh. If you have the chance, definitely stop by to enjoy their menu whilst sitting either outside or inside. It's clear that we're not the only ones who love Cafe Lucca as it recently won the best cafe/restaurant in Bath award!

Thank you Cafe Lucca for inviting us, we really enjoyed it.
