New Vegan Menu at Absurd Bird, Bath

If you're a massive fried chicken fan then you've probably heard of Absurd Bird 🐔, a chicken shack with a Deep Southern feel in Southgate. What you probably didn't know, is that they've got an all-new vegan menu that we were recently invited to try.

What we ordered
  • Chickpea & sweet potato burger
  • Buffalo chckn vegan fillet burger
  • Sweet potato fries
  • Cajun bites (battered broccoli and cauliflower) with buffalo sauce
  • Vegan mac & cheese

Our thoughts

Although they're primarily known for their meat dishes, they have an excellent choice of meat and dairy-free options.

The burgers were great - full of flavour and texture. The chickpea and sweet potato burger was probably our favourite of all the dishes, although it was quite spicy so watch out 🌶.

The sweet potato fries were great (you can't really go wrong) and we loved the cajun bites.

Having never tried vegan mac & cheese before, we were super excited to order it. It was really good and didn't taste too different to normal mac & cheese although it wasn't as melty/stringy.

The restaurant is really great for lunch and dinner, with tables for large parties and booths for more intimate dates. Thank you so much to everyone at Absurd Bird who were super friendly and helpful, we had a great time and you have some great vegan options!
