Lunch at Chaiwalla, Bath

If you have ever passed the Kingsmead Square area at lunch time, you will probably have seen a massive queue outside Chaiwalla and lots of happy customers leaving the place with a warm wrap in their hands and a massive smile on their face.

If you're looking for a new lunchtime spot, love Indian food, or are curious about what all those people are eating and why they look so happy, keep reading. 👀

When you walk in, have a look at their big menu on the left and see what takes your fancy.

Order whatever you want and watch the assembly line make your wrap in only a couple of seconds. The people at Chaiwalla are so friendly and they know their regulars so well.

They've got a kind of assembly line thing going so that everything is super quick and speedy.

Behold, the onion bhaji wrap 🌯 [£5]

There's so much flavour and substance packed into one wrap: tangy tamarind, sweet mango chutney, zingy pickles and the lightest, crispiest onion bhajis. It's all balanced with a colourful handful of crunchy veggies: red cabbage, carrot, lettuce and tomatoes. The components work together perfectly and are held together in the softest wrap.

It's so delicious but sooo messy if you're not careful. You will probably end up with sauce down your chin, but it's all worth it. Grab one and eat it in Kingsmead Square or back at the office! At £5, it's the perfect lunchtime meal. You can even add a samosa (which are also delicious - we've tried them before) for £1.

They also do a falafel wrap which we've had before which is equally as delicious. Here's someone else's order. Are you jealous?

🌟 Chaiwalla is a tiny little place that is beautifully decorated with little Indian elephants and big menu boards.

🤵🏻 As we already mentioned, the staff are suuuper friendly and the service is really speedy due to their assembly line set-up. Around ten people seemed to be served in only a couple of minutes. The fact that there are so many regulars shows how many people love this place!

🌿 It's 100% veggie! Just ask for vegan and they'll hold the yoghurt.

💰 £ (such good value - the wraps are literally huge)!
