What to do in Bath this February (Foodie events, new openings & more!)

Happy February!

Known mainly for Valentine's Day 🥰 and Shrove Tuesday 🥞, there are lots of foodie activities to get excited about this month.

Veganuary at Comptoir Libanais, Bath

By now, it will be no secret to you that Comptoir Libanais serves great Lebanese food at a reasonable price here in Bath. What you might not know, is that they actually have lots of vegan dishes on offer which is perfect if you're doing #veganuary 🌱, are vegan or just fancy something plant-based. It's also a great option if you're looking for somewhere to eat which caters to both meat-eaters and veggies without compromising on taste for either group of people.

We've been to the chain multiple times, but this time we were invited back to check out their vegan menu offering, including some exclusive plant-based dishes which are only available until 31 January (we'll let you know which ones they are - don't worry)!

Vegan Sweet Treats at Creams, Bath

While Bath has a lot to offer in the way of restaurants, when it comes to dedicated sweet-treat establishments, there are only a handful of options. We have a few top-notch ice-cream places in our city, but nowhere that seems to offer such a huge variety of desserts as the newly opened Creams.

Creams opened their doors just before Christmas, and if you haven’t come across the new café (it’s on Avon Street, just off Kingsmead Square), you might have come across their mouth-watering Instagram page.

We were pleased to see that Creams had such an extensive vegan offering 🌱, we counted 11 different dessert options from the menu (as well as vegan milkshakes!), plus you can build your own vegan dessert if none of theirs take your fancy.

Vegan Lunch at Rooted Cafe & Supper Rooms, Bath

Situated in the heart of Lower Weston is vegetarian & vegan cafe Rooted. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with a warm & welcoming smile. We had been to Rooted before for a supper club (click here for a review 👈🏼), but this week we tried their normal menu.

Vegan Breakfast at Cascara, Bath

Cascara is a cosy, small vegan cafe and coffee shop serving a range of breakfasts and lunches as well as some sharing plates (see the menu below 😋). Owned by the lovely Sus, it's yet another sweet independent cafe in Bath that's worth a visit.

Vegan Lunch at The Cakery, Bath

The Cakery is a cute little independent vegetarian cafe in Widcombe. As the name would suggest, the Cakery has a lovely range of cakes to choose from - a little over a year ago we went to their first birthday and sampled loads of their different cakes which were all delicious, link here). 🎂

Ella, the owner, is a local baker from Bath. The cafe focuses on locally sourced ingredients and has lots of different vegan and gluten-free options. In honour of #veganuary, we were kindly invited to check out their vegan options. 🌱

Vegan Lunch at Roots & Shoots, Bath

Roots & Shoots is a 100% vegan deli and cafe serving a great range of plant-based warm drinks, mains and sweet treats. It's right next to the train station, so it's an ideal spot for everyone to grab vegan croissants, sausage rolls and other goodies.

This week, we headed down their to try some of their menu in honour of #veganuary 🌱. It opened back at the end of 2018 but we hadn't visited for a while!
