Vegan Lunch at Rooted Cafe & Supper Rooms, Bath

Situated in the heart of Lower Weston is vegetarian & vegan cafe Rooted. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with a warm & welcoming smile. We had been to Rooted before for a supper club (click here for a review 👈🏼), but this week we tried their normal menu.

As our main, we went for the Rainbow Bowl (falafel, roasted butternut squash, cashew nuts, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower couscous, pomegranate, coconut yoghurt, avocado, tahini, lemon & red cabbage sauerkraut) 🥗🍠🍅🍋 [£10]

A very vibrant dish! The falafel was light, spicy and served warm. The whole bowl was a mix of sweet and spicy with a little zest and the tomatoes were topped with cardamom seeds which really brought the dish to life. Overall, there was a great mix of textures from the soft butternut squash to the crunch of the pumpkin seeds and pomegranate. We loved this dish and felt very satisfied!

Oat milk cappuccino ☕  [£3]

This was really creamy and delicious. Oat milk is probably our favourite plant-based milk alternative.

The cafe has a lot of events going on such as seasonal supper clubs held on the last Friday of every month as well as doing a Sunday lunch with mushroom wellingtons as the veggie replacement. We've heard that it's really popular so would be a good one for any vegans looking for an alternative to the Sunday roast!

There was a great mix of students, friends and family in the cafe and from what we could see, everyone's food looked delicious. They also had a great array of cakes on the counter which looked delicious, but we were feeling pretty full so didn't go for one.

🌟 The interior was modern and cosy, overall it had a friendly atmosphere and somewhere we would definitely go again.

🤵🏻 Friendly staff which created a good vibe!
