Happy February!

Known mainly for Valentine's Day ๐Ÿฅฐ and Shrove Tuesday ๐Ÿฅž, there are lots of foodie activities to get excited about this month.

New in Bath

Sadly, January marked the closing of The Chequers and it became apparent that Beyond the Kale wasn't opening its doors again anytime soon... Luckily, there are a couple of new spots that have since opened & that are coming to our beautiful city very soon.

What we got up to last month

In January, we dedicated Bath Eats to #veganuary ๐ŸŒฑ, only posting (and reviewing) 100% plant-based dishes for the whole month of January. We're so lucky that Bath has such a diverse food scene including lots of delicious plant-based eateries.

We kicked off the month with a great lunch at vegan cafรฉ Roots & Shoots (including vegan croissants ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿฅ) and another lunch at the sweetest, great-value-for-money Widcombe veggie cafe, The Cakery.

We had a lovely rainbow bowl (falafels literally saved us this month) at veggie restaurant Rooted Cafe & Supper Rooms (not to be confused with Roots & Shoots) and a yummy breakfast at Cascara where we had a lovely porridge and sweet cacao & banana sourdough toast ๐ŸŒ.

We checked out the new Creams Cafe (aka dessert heaven) and were pleasantly surprised by their vegan chocolate chunk cookie dough, which was not only vegan but also gluten-free. How they achieved this wizardry we will never know... ๐Ÿช

Finally, we had a delicious Lebanese dinner at Comptoir Libanais. Highlights included the aubergine tagine, baba ghanoush, hummus and their January special, baked aubergine topped with a pistachio & molasses dressing. ๐Ÿ†
