What to do in Bath this March (Foodie events, new openings & more!)

Happy March everyone! 🌼

Now that we're moving out of wintertime and into spring, you will probably start to notice lots more outdoor seating areas where people are laughing, enjoying their afternoon coffees and hanging out with their pooches at the end of a long day. We're working on getting an al fresco dining guide up ASAP (send us our favourites on instagram!)

Until then, here are a couple of cool events & fun new openings in Bath. Quite a few old favourites have had makeovers and launched new menus (Pig & Fiddle, Joya, The Walcot etc...) along with a couple of very exciting new openings which we're sure you've already seen on our instagram feed.

New in Bath

The Pig & Fiddle has had a makeover! The back bar has been redesigned, there's new built-in seating with dining height tables and lots of vintage rugs, antique mirrors and an eclectic collection of artwork. It's much more up-to-date and they've also launched a new menu including pub snacks and sharing platters alongside their pub classics. They've also started offering breakfast too! 🐷🎻

Joya recently also had a facelift, transforming themselves into a modern and stylish steakhouse. You can even cook your own steaks on hot plates, offering a unique & fun experience to the Bath food scene! Of course, they still have some of their Italian classics on the menu for those who would like a delicious bowl of pasta. Click here for our review. 🥩

Mrs Potts Chocolate House aka chocolate heaven for lovers, opened their doors on 22 February. It's been popular ever since its launch and it's not hard to see why - take a look at their instagram here. 🍫

Five Guys, the popular American burger joint with oh-so-juicy burgers & deliciously fried chips opened in Bath on 24 February! 🍔

Cortado, a new independent British-Argentinian cafe opened on 26 February! They serve a range of brunch and lunch items, as well as some delicious Argentinian empanadas which we tried at their opening party. 🇦🇷

Cafe Walcot at Walcot House has transformed itself into The Walcot, a stylish & sleek cafe, restaurant and bar and opened on 27 February. 🍴

The Cafe by FLY, an independent cafe focusing on coffee, shakes, bowls & plates opened back in January. As it's in a gym, everything's quite healthy & looks delicious. 💪🏼

In sad news... The Cakery has closed 😢. It was such a sweet cafe in Widcome which will be very dearly missed. Luckily the owner, Ella, has decided to focus on the baking side of her business & you can still order her delicious cakes through her instagram here
