Burgers from Schwartz Bros, Bath

Schwartz Bros is probably the OG burger place in the whole of Bath. With two locations (Saw Close & Walcot Street), they've been flipping some of the city's favourite patties since 1977. 🍔

They really focus on the quality of ingredients. Their hamburgers are made using whole cuts of beef flank and fore-quarter, simply minced with salt and then char-grilled. Forget about that awful plasticky cheese that you often find in takeout burger shacks - Schwartz Bros use non-processed mature cheddar. Everything is cooked to order and having heard so much about it, we were so excited to try it for the first time (how we have gone this long without trying it we're not quite sure).

The Big Al (beef patty, bacon, cheese, onion, tomato and honey mustard mayo) 🍔  [£7.75]

This was amazing! Super dense, delicious and moreish. The bap was also great as it didn’t go soggy and comes from a local bakery.

Classic fries 🍟 [£2.50]

These were good. Super hot and fresh with a good exterior crunch and soft interior.

Chocolate milkshake 🥤  [£2.75]

This had caramel notes and was very sweet and thick in texture. Indulgence in a cup.

🌟 A great classic takeaway burger place.

🌿 They also had a great selection of chicken and veggie burgers (which they can make vegan) and we've heard that these are really good.
