Bottomless Brunch at Café au Lait, Bath

We always get messages about places to get bottomless brunch in Bath & Café au Lait now does it! For £35pp you get 1 item from the brunch menu, 1 stack of pancakes & bottomless Prosecco, mimosas or Peroni.

Full English (smoked streaky bacon, Larkhall sausage, poached eggs, house beans, mushrooms, hash browns, tomatoes & toasted sourdough) 🥓

The bacon was perfectly streaky, the sausage was bursting with flavour & the eggs were cooked to perfection. The hash browns & sourdough added nice crunchy elements to the dish and overall everything was very good.

Mashed avocado with poached eggs & cherry tomatoes on toasted sourdough (v) 🥑

Once again, the eggs were cooked to perfection & were seasoned with a bit of chilli & lime which worked really well with the avocado. It’s a brunch classic that was done well.

Cafe au Lait had a couple of different pancake options to choose from, including blueberry & banana, streaky bacon and some caramel, banana & berry ones (as well as the ones that we ended up choosing below). It's worth noting that they can make most of the pancakes vegan and/or gluten-free to suit dietary needs - just let them know!

Biscoff pancakes (v) 🥞

These came with biscoff sauce, biscoff biscuits and whipped cream. They tasted as good as they looked & they were super fluffy, thick & delicious. Biscoff is a firm favourite of many and it was exciting to see this as an option!

Dark chocolate & banana pancakes (v) 🍫

Wow these were some of the best pancakes ever. They were super fluffy and moist (like the biscoff ones) and the caramelised banana (yum) worked really well with the dark chocolate. The toppings were generous and we would come back just for these pancakes!

Mimosas 🥂

We went for mimosas for the ‘bottomless’ element of the brunch and they were really refreshing.

Oat milk flat white ☕️ [£3.30]

A good coffee! Cafe au Lait has lots of non-dairy alternatives to choose from which is nice.

Café au Lait has been a favourite of ours for brunch for a while now, and we’re so excited to see that they’ve reopened with a bottomless brunch menu.

We really liked that you got two dishes & that they are super flexible so can make things vegan, gluten-free etc. Walk-ins only except for bottomless brunch.

Please note that for bottomless brunch you need to book at least 2 days in advance, the whole table needs to go for the bottomless option, there’s a £10 deposit per person, it’s a 2 hour slot & you obviously need to be over 18. For full T&Cs please visit Cafe au Lait's website.

💰 ££ - £35 per person; good value considering what you get.
