Lunch at Burrito Boi, Frome

A one minute walk from Frome Station, Burrito Boi is the ideal lunch spot! Tucked away inside The Station (just next door to the train station), Burrito Boi is a locally sourced and ethically produced Mexican spot. Serving everything from burritos, Mac ‘n’ cheese balls and nachos, there is something for everyone - they even do vegan options!

Frozen honey margarita & frozen Paloma cocktail 🍸[£7 each, 2 for £12]

Both of these were super sweet & slushy and really complimented the food. The Paloma was citrusy & they do switch them up regularly. The newest honey margarita was our fav & one to try before it goes!

Nachos (topped with smokey nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, salsa) ✨ [£4.50]

These looked amazing & we had one veggie (with guacamole) & one with chorizo & guacamole. The best nachos we’ve had in a really long time and the salsa was really fresh & spicy. 10/10!

Superfood salad 🥗 [£12]

A lighter choice for lunch or the perfect side for dinner, this was a delicious mix of black beans, feta cheese, avocado, corn and tomatoes.

Jalapeño Mac ‘n’ cheese balls 🧀 [£4]

These are one to order to share or have as a side to your burrito. They weren’t too spicy & had a good amount of cheese with a lovely crispy outside. Make sure to squeeze the lime on them to bring all of the flavours together.

Buffalo and blue cheese Mac ‘n’ cheese balls 🧀 [£4.50]

A step up from the original Mac ‘n’ cheese balls, with the addition of buffalo sauce & blue cheese, these are one to try for the big cheese lovers! Don’t be put off if you’re not a big blue cheese fan as it’s not super strong, just really cheesy.

Corn ribs 🌽 [£4]

These were really unique & had a bit of a kick to them. If you’re veggie, these are a must. The slight spice from the chipotle Mayo goes so well with the grilled corn. One of the best things on the menu for sure! 10/10.

Beef burrito (slow cooked beef, chipotle rice, garlic & herb pinto beans, sour cream, cheddar, pico de gallo, peppers & lettuce) 🌯  [£8]

3 bean burrito (smokey tomato beans, chipotle rice, sour cream, cheddar, pico de gallo, peppers & lettuce) 🌯 [£8]

The burritos are the main event here & the beef one is their signature dish. We also loved the veggie one which can be made vegan. They were really big & the best burritos we’ve had in ages. Both were packed full of flavour.

Churros with a choice of 2 sauces (we had biscoff & dulce de leche) ✨ [£4]

You can’t really go wrong with these huge, warm churros topped with cinnamon sugar. Absolutely delicious & doughy.

Granita (mango) 🥭 [£5]

This dessert was the perfect way to finish the meal. It was super refreshing, sweet & and of tasted like an exotic ice cream.

Having started in lockdown, the restaurant has recently received an award for the best launch during COVID and we can see why! It has such a cool atmosphere, great music and not to forget, delicious frozen cocktails.
